Delighted to share that Shane Hulbert’s A Passive Frequency has been awarded the Redpoll Trophy Silver Collection Award at the 2026 China–South Asia Expo (Dali) International Photography Exhibition.

It was a genuine pleasure to curate this exhibition and work closely with Shane on presenting this important body of work. A Passive Frequency explores the visual language of warning systems, surveillance structures and civil defence infrastructures, creating a thoughtful and timely reflection on contemporary image culture.

My sincere thanks to the team at the Dali International Photography Festival, whose professionalism, care and attention to detail resulted in an installation that served the work exceptionally well. The presentation was realised to a very high standard and contributed significantly to the success of the exhibition.

Congratulations to Shane on this well-deserved recognition. It has been rewarding to see this project connect so strongly with audiences and the festival’s collection jury.
