In my series "The Imperfect Beauty of the Sublime," I confront the stark realities of climate change and societal disconnect from nature, presenting an immersive process of creating art that fosters a deeper connection with the environment. This body of work critically examines our engagement with technology, specifically the i-device, questioning whether it distances us or can potentially deepen our appreciation of our surroundings.

The process I employed was dynamic, involving instantaneous layering of exposures, making the act of creating each image interactive and responsive to the subtle movements of nature and myself as the artist. This approach captures not just the visual but also my physiological response to the landscape, infusing the final image with a sense of presence and immediacy. Each piece, therefore, is not just an artwork but a recorded experience, a nuanced interplay of human emotion and the natural world. The image size is 100cm x 178cm, the work is printed on Canson Plantine Fibre Rag. This is an edition of 3 & 2 APs (artists proofs). The work is sold unframed, although framing can be organised for local purchasers.

Edition of 3 $AUD3500
