LUMINESCENCE - an intimate exploration of light, memory, and digital sublime…

LUMINESCENCE - an intimate exploration of light, memory, and digital sublime, alongside distinguished artists Fred Van de Walle, Shin Yatagai, and Yefan.

This private exhibition marks a significant moment in my ongoing research into the intersection of traditional photography and emerging digital technologies. As part of my PhD project "Perfect:Synthetic," this showcase presents new works that investigate how digital technologies shape our understanding of place and memory.

📍 Location: Private Space, Shanghai
🗓️ Exhibition: April 26 - May 5, 2025
🎯 Art Talk: April 26, 20:00

The exhibition brings together four international perspectives on contemporary digital art, merging traditional aesthetics with cutting-edge imaging technologies. My contribution explores the dialogue between physical and digital realms, particularly focusing on how 3D scanning and AI-assisted imaging can reframe our perception of cultural spaces.

Drawing from my experience as both an artist and academic at RMIT University, this body of work continues my investigation into hyper-reality and memory re-staging through tableau photography. The exhibition space itself becomes a laboratory for examining how digital mediation influences our interpretation of physical environments.

Join us for an evening of artistic dialogue and technological exploration. The opening art talk will delve into our diverse approaches to digital art-making and the future of visual storytelling in an increasingly digitized world.
