The day started with knock on the door at 2:30am, it was dark and cold. We had a quick breakfast and started the ascent in the dark, headlamps on. Really impressed with iPhone's low light abilities. I took a few selfies on the way, I think the cold and pain is more evident as the elevation increases. The views were beyond stunning. At 5040m I decided to make a piece for the Mediated by the Digital Lens series, I was already feeling quite tired and removing one's hands from your gloves was agonising for anything more than a moment. I was the piece captured to senses of cold and the unending ranges of mountains. At about 5200m my headache kicked in, I was so real even to reach Thorong La Pass. The second part of this reel are portraits taken at the pass, some in the shelter some outside. There is a sense of exhaustion, elation and success in every trekkers face.
