This morning I sat down to write about an exhibition of mine from some years ago, Theme Parks: Shenzhen, China. I was writing about the immersive nature of theme parks, the strategies or techniques they employ, theming, story-telling, technology and entrainment. It was a beautiful thing to find a link, more than a link, to one of my favourite places in Italy, the Arena Chapel in Padua. Ive spent the past two hours discussing how the design of the building, the frescos by Giotto, the burning incense, along with religious services would have created a divine immersion, on par if not beyond any digital VR experience today - (I spent yesterday writing about Zero Latency)
