While I have relished every genre of photography I've engaged with, whether it's tableau photography and, more recently, the series that began as 'Mediated by the Digital Lens' which have truly captivated my interest. This latter series, which has evolved considerably to include 'Mountain Water (ShanShui)', is where I find room to expand and evolve, both in my work and as an artist. It is here that my varied interests - other art forms, hiking, cultural travel, and environmental awareness - converge and enrich each other. This journey commenced with a coastal series, a subject to which I frequently return. At present, I am developing a series based on the East Coast of Tasmania, a project that started years ago to express my profound bond with this shoreline. Incorporating the ShanShui philosophy, I strive to transcend mere visual representation, aiming to capture the very spirit of the landscapes I encounter. I intend to share selections from this series over time and ultimately hope to exhibit them in Tasmania.
