A test shot in Hoi An, Vietnam - light rain falling on water
A test shot in Hoi An, Vietnam - light rain falling on water. Being suspended in water creates a distinct shift in image-making, offering new possibilities. Being in water rather than standing on solid ground changes everything - my body's movements and the camera's stability merge with the water's motion. The environment directly transfers its motion into the photograph. Unlike the work created on solid ground, where it's primarily my physiological response to the environment that creates the blur, shifts and movement, here I'm physically controlled by it, part of the element I'm capturing. Worth investigating further as it adds a new dimension to my practice of immersive image-making
