I enjoy pushing the boundaries, I’m constantly seeking out unconventional lighting options, old quirky lights, anything that can create an interesting feel for my projects. I know I kind of nerd out when it comes to lights and lighting, but there's an excitement in experimenting with new (and old) lights & lighting techniques. Recently, I came across some LED lights that sparked my curiosity, and I couldn't resist testing them out on the wilting tulips that I had given my partner some weeks earlier.

Despite their fading beauty, the tulips held an intriguing charm, and I saw an opportunity to capture their unique essence using these LED lights. The process of experimentation, tinkering with the lighting setup, and observing the visual impact is always fun, I know that does sound professional or serious, but I love working in the studio, I’m obsessed by light…I actually just stopped for ten mins while writing this to watch the intense afternoon sun hitting the metal of the building across from me, set against a dark moody sky.

These little lighting experiments always prove to be a fascinating, encouraging me to keep exploring and discovering new ways to use light to tell stories and create mood. It’s also a way of recharging and re-engaging with what I love to do.
