I was delighted to find out today that the Art Gallery of Western Australia has acquired one of my photographs, ‘Three minutes to five, time to go’ . I produced this work in WA while on a residency with Central TAFE (central institute of technology) & Turner Galleries. The work paralleled what was happening in personal life at the time, I’d won a huge advertising commission, I’d been offered an ongoing full time position with School of Art and was feeling very ‘insecure’ in my role at the time. I think I definitely projected that sense of insecurity, stress and tension having to move on to the central character. The shoot itself was wonderful, worked with exclusively WA talent, actors, stylist assistants etc. @artgallerywa @rmit_art @ccp_australia @mga_photography @rmituniversity @bettgallery #stagedphotography #tableauphotography #tableauxphotography #contemporaryart #contemporaryphotography #fredjonespart2
