As an artist, primarily in the primary market, I am thrilled to witness the growing appreciation for photography in Australia. The opening of the State Library of NSW's new photography gallery is a remarkable step forward, providing a platform for artists like myself to showcase our unique perspectives through the lens.

While it's fantastic to see established names receiving well-deserved recognition, I believe it's equally important to embrace the diversity of talent within the photography realm. Collectors, remember that there's a whole world of emerging artists waiting to be discovered, offering fresh narratives and captivating imagery that can truly enrich your collection.
