What an inspiring visit to Xi’an University of Technology’s Photography Department!
What an inspiring visit to Xi’an University of Technology’s Photography Department! I had the opportunity to present on creativity and share an in-depth look at one of my recent projects with both undergraduate and Masters students.
I was thoroughly impressed by the talent and dedication of the students, particularly the Masters cohort, who are working on some fascinating photogrammetry projects. They’re digitising burial sites and monuments in the Xi’an area, home to the famous Terracotta Warriors. It’s remarkable to see how they blend art practice and commercial work so seamlessly.
Equally impressive is the curriculum for first-year students, where they are actively engaging with both pencil drawing and new technologies, creating a fantastic bridge between traditional techniques and modern practice. The passion for combining the old and new is something that truly resonates with me.
Looking forward to seeing more innovative work from these talented individuals
